The Super Bowl is easily the largest marketing-centric event in the United States, and one of the largest marketing opportunities in the world. Because of the scale of this event, at Momentum it is truly an all hands on deck effort to execute the event for Verizon.
This year, Verizon opted for a hospitality style approach during Super Bowl week through a takeover of the Jimmy Kimmel Comedy Club in Las Vegas. The space was called “Verizon Live” and hosted events Thursday - Sunday of Super Bowl week. For most of each day, the space was open to any Verizon customer during an opening programing period. Each evening, there was a ticketed event hosted with Verizon’s various partners. Partner events included Netflix “Geeked” event, HBO “Hacks” event, and Apple Music “Run the Playlist” event. On Super Bowl Sunday, Verizon hosted a watch party for Verizon customers at the space. Throughout the week, we had over 1,000 guests within the space, and consistently over 200 attendees at each of the partner event in the evenings.
Duties throughout the week included managing/building the digital waiver guests completed prior to entering the space, assisting with check in for the evening events, flipping the space between events, and additional duties as needed.
Another event we had activating throughout the week was a space at the Taste of the NFL event, held at the Keeping Memory Alive Center in Las Vegas. At the event, we produced a 180 degree photo op in a partnership with Studiobooth. The activation included a custom animated overlay and a custom backdrop. The event was successful, with over 300 uses throughout the day.
